Learning to sit in the middle of your life and just watch is one of the most important things you can do. The art of cultivating mindfulness is sitting and paying attention to things that are there, right in the present moment. Things that we take for granted can become alive for us, like the breath and bodily sensations.

In this lesson you’ll be guided through a simple mindfulness meditation practice. You’ll also have a downloadable audio that you can keep.

Importantly, with mindfulness you can find any comfortable position that suits your body. You can sit on the floor, on a cushion or pillow, or with your legs crossed. You can even sit on a chair. What we're trying to do is create a feeling of curiosity and interest in all that we notice as we sit quietly, allowing our breath to move in and out. Learning to be still...

This is another practice that you can take with you and quietly use each day, wherever you are. This one simple practice has the power to radically change your life when taken up consistently.
