Hip Mobillity & Strength
We will look at understanding our own unique hip mobility/movement and strength are key to how we open the hip joint into deeper poses (half lotus, lotus and leg behind head). We will look at helpful patterns in the hip joint, leg, ankle and foot. We will then invite practitioners to see how these techniques and tools are are unpacked in their own practice, helping them to unpack their own hip opening postures that they are focusing on.
Sunday Workshop
12.30pm - 2.30pm
Front Body Opening or Back Bending
Back-bending is really front body opening. With any backbend we are looking to create a balance of strength and mobility in the hip and shoulder joints to be able extend the spine while supporting the sacrum, ultimately finding freedom in the breath. In this workshop we will look at patterns that unveil how to find this freedom of extension and breath in a number of back-bending postures. We will then invite practitioners to see how these tools and techniques work in back bending postures that they are struggling with themselves.
